What I collect when you fill in a form
Whatever you type. Your name, business, email, phone and message go straight to my inbox and nowhere else. The email is sent through Resend, which handles delivery and does not use your details for anything of its own.
Alongside that I send myself a little context about your visit: roughly how you found the site, which page you first landed on, how many times you have been here and which pages you read. This is stored in your own browser until you submit a form, and it exists so that when you call me I already know what you were looking at.
I do not sell anything to anybody, I do not add you to a mailing list, and there is no newsletter to escape from.
What I collect when you just look around
Two things measure traffic on this site.
- Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and where visitors came from. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites.
- Microsoft Clarity records how people move through pages, which clicks happen and where people get stuck, and plays it back to me as an anonymous session. It is how I work out which parts of the site are confusing. Clarity hides what you type into forms by default, so your details do not appear in a recording.
Neither of these tells me who you are. If you would rather not be included, any ad or tracker blocker stops both, and nothing on the site breaks when you do.
The free scan
The scan on this site runs on a separate tool at audit.gbp.burketwebdesign.com. It reads public information from the Google Business Profile you search for. If you ask for the full written audit you give an email address, the report goes to you, and a copy comes to me so that I can talk it through with you. That is the only point at which the scan involves me.
Payments
If you pay for a plan on this site you are sent to Wave, which handles the card details. I never see or store a card number.
Your details, and getting rid of them
Enquiry emails sit in my inbox. Client records sit in my accounts. I keep them while we are working together and for as long afterwards as my accountant tells me to. If you want me to delete what I hold about you, email me and I will, and I will tell you when it is done.
Children
This site sells to businesses and is not aimed at anybody under 18.
